Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

A 21-year-old woman from Widnes has been charged following an assault in the town.

Kayleigh Challioner was arrested at her home in Bechers at around 8am on Tuesday 7 July.

She has subsequently been charged with assault by beating and harassment without violence.

The charges relate to an incident that occurred at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 30 June.

A 20-year-old woman from Widnes was taken to hospital in an ambulance following the incident on a path that runs between Birchfield Road and Prescot Road.

She has since been discharged after receiving treatment for the minor injuries she sustained as a result of the incident.

Challioner has been issued with a postal requisition ordering her to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 17 November.
