Appeal for information following anti-social behaviour in Aigburth

Detectives appeal for info following assault of teenager in Liscard, Wirral

We are appealing for information following an incident in Aigburth on Thursday 16 September.

We received a report that, at around 6.45pm, a group of around 20 males exited a double decker ‘VIP Party’ bus on Aigburth Road, at the junction of Horringford Road, near Space Coffee.

It was reported that the males were behaving in an anti-social manner, urinating on the shops, throwing beer and glass bottles.

When the group were challenged by a male victim, they were reported to have made verbal threats towards him.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information to come forward.

Community Policing Inspector Dave Uren said: “We will not tolerate such anti-social behaviour in our communities and I would urge anyone in the Aigburth Road area who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

“Similarly if you were driving down Aigburth Road and may have dashcam footage which shows the incident, then please check it and let us know.

“Whether you get in touch with us directly or anonymously, through Crimestoppers all information will be acted on.”

If you witnessed this incident or have any information please contact Merseyside Police social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook.
