Appeal for information following suspected arson in Walton

We are appealing for information following a suspected arson at a building in Walton yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 12 May.

At around 5.10pm, we received a report that a house on Lind Street, had been set on fire. 

Neighbouring properties were evacuated and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) extinguished the fire.
 
No injuries were reported. Following a joint investigation with MFRS, it is believed the fire was started deliberately and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Detective Inspector Paul Jones said: “At this stage we believe this fire was started deliberately, although thankfully nobody in the vicinity was hurt.
