Appeal for information following suspected arson of vehicles in Birkenhead

We can confirm that a joint investigation is underway with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) following a suspected arson in Birkenhead yesterday, Sunday 16 August.

At around 5.10pm, police and MFRS were called to Corporation Road at the junction with Pool Street to reports of vehicles alight on a car park. Road closures were put in place and the fire was extinguished.

No injuries were caused but three cars and a caravan were reportedly damaged.

Enquiries including CCTV are ongoing.
