Officers from Northwich Local Policing Unit have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at a primary School in Winsford.
At around 3.40am today police were called to reports of a burglary at Willow Wood Primary School on Bradbury Road.
The caller reported that an unknown person had broken into the school and stolen a number of items.
Officers were dispatched to the scene and following a search of the area officers arrested a man in the Nun House drive area. A number of items were also recovered – including iPads.
The 32-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of burglary; he is currently being held in police custody being questioned by officer.
Detective Constable Lara Hill, of Northwich Beat Team, said: “Burglary is a serious offence, and targeting a primary school is particularly low.
“While we have made an arrest in this case our enquiries remain ongoing, I would urge anyone with any information in relation to this incident to get in touch.”
