A local man has been arrested and drugs were seized after officers from Northwich Local Policing unit conduct a warrant in Hartford.

At around 11.15am on Thursday 1 June, officers executed a warrant at an address on Beaufort Close. While searching the property officers recovered a quantity of class C drugs (cannabis).

A 26-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of criminal damage, malicious communications and harassment. He has since been released on conditional bail.

Sergeant Leanne Brundrett, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said:

“I understand the concern that this incident is likely to cause, and I would like to thank residents in the local area for their support.

“Over recent months we have seen an increase in the number of incidents on the Hartford Grange estate and I want to reassure residents that my team are working hard on long term problem solving for these issues.

“However, this is not something that we can tackle alone, information from the public is vital. I would residents in the local area to report any suspicious activity to us at www.cheshire.police.uk/report or on 101. By working together, we can help to make the village a safer place for everyone.”

Information can also be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
