Man charged following four burglaries at businesses in Liverpool

Eleven arrested in joint county lines day of action with North Wales Police

Merseyside Police have charged a man following four burglaries at businesses across Liverpool. 

Lee Owens, 41, of Drake Crescent, Liverpool, has been charged with four counts of burglary (non dwelling), theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.  

These charges follow police investigations into the following incidents:
• Burglary at Turtle Bay Restaurant, Victoria Street, Liverpool, on Sunday 16 August 2020 where a quantity of cash was stolen
• Burglary at Londis, Muirhead Avenue, Croxteth, on Thursday 1 October 2020 where a car was stolen
• Burglary at Holland and Barrett, Bold Street, Liverpool, on Thursday 3 December 2020 where cash and two bank cards were stolen
• Burglary at One Stop Shop, Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, on Tuesday 9 February 2021 where a wallet containing two bank cards was stolen

Owens has been remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Tuesday 23 February.
