Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

Officers are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal collision in Runcorn.

At around 1.20pm on Friday 23 September officers were called to Halton Brow following reports of a collision involving a red and white off-road motorbike and a black Ford Ecosport.

The off-road motorbike had two men on it.

One of the men on the bike, a 26-year-old local man was taken to Whiston Hospital but sadly died a short time later.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The other man, aged 23, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been discharged.

The driver of the car, a woman, was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident or may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
