Officers appeal for witnesses following stabbing in Liverpool City Centre

OP TARGET: Proactive operation takes to social media in attempt to tackle serious violence

Officers are currently in attendance of Paradise Street, Liverpool City Centre this afternoon (15th August) following reports of a stabbing.

We were called to the above location at around 11:30am after we received calls stating an 18 year old man had been stabbed.

Upon police arrival, the man was inside one of the shops being treated by paramedics, shop and security staff.

A 23 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray.

The victim has been taken to hospital for assessment and treatment to his injuries. He is currently believed to have sustained non-life threatening injuries.
