Three charged in connection with the murder of Thomas Edmunds

Detectives investigating the murder of Thomas Edmunds in Kirkby have charged three men this morning, Thursday, 13 May.

At around 10.30pm on Sunday (9 May), emergency services were called to an address in Clorain Road following reports that males had entered the address, before they left short time later and the occupant was found unresponsive. The victim, Thomas Edmunds, was taken to hospital where he sadly died on Monday.

34-year-old Terence Bennett of Sovereign Hey, Croxteth, has been charged with murder.

32-year-old Thomas Broadhurst of Regal Road, Croxteth, has been charged with murder.

48-year-old Kevin Nethercote of Regal Road, Croxteth, has been charged with murder.

They have been remanded in custody to next appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning.


A fourth man, aged 38, arrested in connection with the incident has been released under investigation.
