Appeal after collision in Wavertree

Detectives appeal for information after woman found injured in Newsham Park

We are appealing for information after a four-year-old girl was injured in a collision in Wavertree this evening (Friday 24 July).

It was reported at 6pm that a black Honda car had been in collision with the child on Salisbury Road.

The North West Ambulance Service attended and the girl was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where she is being assessed and receiving treatment.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.

Salisbury Road was closed between Laurence Road and Smithdown Road but has now re-opened.
