Detectives continue to appeal for information following fatal stabbing of Dre Estridge in Toxteth

Further appeal for significant witness following murder

We are continuing to appeal for information following the death of 26 year-old Dre Estridge in Toxteth.

Emergency services were called to an address on Oakham Street, Toxteth, at around 6.15am on Friday 26th June where they found Dre with a single stab wound to the chest. Sadly, he later died as a result of his injury.

To date two people have been arrested in connection with the murder.

A 45 year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail.

A 25 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He is currently in custody where he will be interviewed by detectives.

We are also continuing to appeal for the whereabouts of 17 year-old Trene Colcozy-Rogers (pictured) who we believe may be able to assist with our investigation.

Trene, 17, and from Wavertree, Liverpool is described as a black male, around 5ft 9in tall, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

Detective Inspector Jennie Beck said: “We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and speaking to a number of people who we believe were in the house at the time of the incident.

“Enquiries are also ongoing to trace Trene Colcozy-Rogers as we believe he may valuable information to assist us.

“We’d like to remind the public that should you recognise Trene or know where he is, please let us know as we believe he could have crucial information to help us with our investigation. Please avoid approaching him and get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.”
