From craft markets to Easter egg hunts, there is a jam-packed programme of events over the Easter holidays in Manchester’s parks- perfect for the whole family.
Easter Egg Hunts and Trails
Heaton Park’s flagship Big Easter Egg hunt will return on the 8th – 9th April, for just £3.
Everyone from the tiniest tots to big kids can take part and hunt for eggs hidden around the park. To take part all you need to do is visit the Heaton Park reception based in the tunnel at the stable block and follow the map to locate clues that will help you solve the puzzle. To claim the prize, Easter egg hunters will simply need to return to the Heaton Park desk with the completed mystery word puzzle.
Fog Lane Park will also be running The Great Bunny Hunt form 1 April to 16 April. Easter fun seekers and little ones will be encouraged to find the rabbits hidden all around the park. To take part, please visit the Fog Lane Park Café for an activity sheet and a small prize.
Cringle Park, will be hosting their ‘Spring Into Cring’ Easter event on 7 April from 11am to 4pm. The event will feature an Easter Egg treasure hunt around the park. Complete with music to boogie along to, hot food and ice cream the Easter Egg treasure hunt is perfect for residents wanting to get involved in Easter fun. In addition to this, the Easter Egg hunt will be accompanied by a table top sale, organised in collaboration with Grounded MCR-perfect for those wanting to grab a bargain.
Old Moat Park will be encouraging families and little ones to explore the park find the 10 species of wildflower on display from 10 April to 16 April. To take part in the trail please visit Withington Library for an activity sheet and more information.
Easter Market and Fair
On 1 April, Delamere Park will be hosting an Easter fair from 10:30 am to 1pm. The community event has been organised in collaboration with St Clement’s Church and will feature a variety of activities from face painting, cake stalls and Easter trails – perfect for the whole family.
On the 8 and 9 of April, Heaton Park will welcome local traders to the park for the Heaton Park Easter Market. From upcycled bird feeders, embroidery art and Manchester-made gin there’s a wide range of local traders serving up an array of wonderful gifts at the Easter markets so come along to the Stables block and support our local business’.

Heaton Hall
The Friends of Heaton Hall return from their Winter break to re-open the North-wests finest listed building to the public. They’ll be starting their summer season on the 2 April when members of the public are welcomed into the Hall for a wander around its neo-classical rooms, and the best bit is it’s free! No need to book just turn up between 10am and 4pm.
Workshops and Craft sessions
There are a number of workshops taking place in parks across the city this Easter holiday.
