Man arrested in Belfast and charged with murder of Joseph McKeever

A man arrested in Belfast on Saturday (25 April) has appeared in court today (Monday 27 April) and has been charged with the 2017 murder of Joseph McKeever.

Mr McKeever was 54 when his body was found in a car in Whitehaven Road, Everton on 15 June 2017 after a report the vehicle was on fire.

Lee Knox, 42, of no fixed abode was arrested in Belfast as part of a joint operation by officers from Merseyside Police and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court today (Monday, 27 April 2020) where he was charged with the murder of Mr McKeever and he was further remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, 29 April.
