Men charged following international operation

Two arrested after assault in Sefton Park

Following Merseyside Police’s involvement in a huge international operation targeting criminals involved in serious and organised crime a number of people have been charged.

Samuel Binsteed, 30 years, of Cable Street, Formby was arrested by Merseyside officers on behalf of GMP and charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. and appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Vincent Coggins, 54 years, of The Spinney, Stockbridge Village, Michael Earle, 44 years, of Wallace Drive, Huyton, Edward Jarvis, 55 years, of Breckside Park, Anfield and Paul Woodford, 55 years, of Marl Road, Netherton were all arrested by Merseyside officers at an earlier date and charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to supply a controlled drug. They have been remanded in custody.  

All of those arrested yesterday on Merseyside as part of this operation have either been released on bail on remain under investigation.
