A woman from Prescot has been arrested and charged on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent.
On Monday 29 May it was reported that a woman in her 50s has been slashed, causing a laceration on the head at a property on High Street.
She was taken to hospital and was treated for her injuries which are not life threatening.
Kelly Anne Wilson, 44 years, of Beaconsfield, Prescot has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent.
She has been remanded into custody and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday 28 June.
