BESTSELLING ROMANCE WRITER TO BRING THE LOVE TO CHESTER LANE LIBRARY FOR BOROUGH OF CULTURE CELEBRATIONS

Chapter and Verse about Liverpool’s Libraries

Book lovers are invited to attend an evening with a bestselling and award-winning author this March.

With more than three million copies of her 20 novels sold worldwide, romance writer Milly Johnson will visit St Helens Borough to talk about her dazzling career as an international novelist, poet, scriptwriter – among other things – and discuss her latest page turner, Together Again, a heart-warming story about family, sibling bonds, reconnections, new beginnings and love.

Forming part of a packed programme of events to mark St Helens’ year as the Liverpool City Region’s Borough of Culture for 2023, an evening with Milly Johnson, organised by St Helens Library Service, will take place in Chester Lane Library on Wednesday 15 March at 6:00pm.

Encouraging bookworms to attend, Councillor Anthony Burns, Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Communities and Culture, said:

“Our author visits to libraries always prove popular so it’s great to secure another high-profile name in Milly Johnson who has a wealth of experience in her field and is sure to offer a fantastic insight into the world of literature.

“Events like this are a great way to get people into libraries and is a worthy addition to our Borough of Culture events calendar for this year which will bring communities together to celebrate the best of our borough.”

A formal event to officially launch St Helens’ year as Borough of Culture will take place at the World of Glass Museum on Saturday 4 March between 11:00am-3:00pm, with members of the public welcome to attend.

Tickets for an evening with Milly Johnson cost £7.20, £6.15 for library hard holders and £4.10 for concessions, with refreshments included.

Tickets can be purchased at Chester Lane Library or online at www.culturalhubs.eventbrite.co.uk
